After a long period of not being allowed to rehearse, Brassband Rijnmond started rehearsing on Wednesday 10 June 2020.
Also, during this period, a number of great performances were unfortunately canceled. Needless to say that playing and rehearsing / performing together was missed by the Rijnmonders.
Many a musician was eagerly looking forward to the permission to start playing again. This week the green light finally came to start.
Under the direction of Rijnmond's new conductor Chris Derikx, a group rehearsal for basses and trombones was started. Entirely "corona proof" and with the necessary distance from each other, the rehearsal space was again filled with brass sounds after a long time.
Naturally, the applicable protocol was met, which was carefully enforced with a specially appointed "corona" officer. Despite the limitations, the members of Brassband Rijnmond are very happy to be able to practice their hobby, which they and their conductor missed, together. We are already looking forward to the first full rehearsal and our first performance.
